Babassu Oil (Babacu Oil)
One of the world’s most soothing emollients. Similar in character to coconut oil, the babassu oil is cold-pressed from the nut of the babassu palm tree. Small communities collect the babacu nuts directly from the trees in the states of Maranhao and Para.
Cupuassu Butter (Cupuacu Butter)
A moisturizing butter that is extracted from the seeds of the exotic cupuassu fruit, which, like cocoa seeds, can be used to make chocolate. Enhances smoothness of the skin and promotes long-lasting hydration and a high level of water absorption. The seeds, which come from southern Para state and from the state of Amazonas, are collected and separated from the pulp by small communities in these regions.
Brazil Nut Oil
Rich in oleic acids and vitamins, this oil acts on the cutaneous tissue, building a protective coat that blocks evaporation of skin moisture, promoting and maintaining long lasting hydration. The oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the Brazil Nut tree which are collected by small indigenous river communities in the states of Acre, Para, and Amapa.
Yerba Mate Extract
Natural plant extract from the Atlantic Rainforest. Contains the highest known natural concentration of Theophylline, Theobromine and Caffeine, which all combat cellulite by instigating the release of stored fat. Research has shown that Yerba Mate Extract also increases the flow of lymphatic fluid, which reduces swelling and increases the rate at which toxic wastes are released from the skin. Yerba Mate Extract also stimulates the structural components of the skin, collagen and elastin, which in turn provides tone and firmness to the skin.
Acai Oil
Acai oil is very rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, anthocyanins, and vitamins. This natural oil is rich in anti-aging and anti-bacterial properties. The oil is extracted from the acai berries which are harvested in the Amazon Rainforest.
Andiroba Oil
Generates anti-inflammatory and skin-renewing actions. Renowned for its use in the treatment of cellulite and cutaneous tissue. The oil is extracted from the andiroba seeds which are collected by small communities on the beaches of Marajo Island at the mouth of the Amazon River.
Copaiba Oil
This resinous oil is rich in beta-carophylene which promotes germ-free action and is an excellent anti-acne, skin-clearing agent. The resin is extracted from the trunk of the Copaiba tree through small holes that close naturally with time. Each tree produces approximately 2 liters of oil per year. The oil is extracted from the trees by the native population in the states of Acre, Amazonas, and Para.
Buriti Oil
Red oil rich in carotenoids and pro-vitamin A that promotes anti-aging action. Generates a natural blockage to the skin, decreasing transepidermic water loss caused because of sun exposition and other environmental effects. The oil is cold-pressed from the Buriti seeds which are collected by small communities in the states of Para and Piaui.
Passion Fruit Oil
Has a high level of linoleic acid, which gives nutrition and hydration to the cutaneous tissue increasing softness of the skin. The oil is extracted from seeds which are separated from fruit pulp used by fruit juice producers in the Amazon states of Para and Amazonas.
Cocoa Butter
Fragrant emollient obtained from the cocoa seeds. Leaves skin soft and protects against drying out by creating a protective barrier on the surface of the skin. We use only certified organic cocoa butter which is grown under the natural shade of the rainforest canopy.
All of the ingredients are produced in conjunction with responsible and sustainable forest management, without the use of any fertilizers or agricultural defenses.
